If you've been reading our special MoneyWire series this week, you know more than most other investors about investing in marijuana-related stocks. You know how big the opportunity in legal marijuana is. And you know about the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity my research has uncovered in what I call Jumper Stocks 鈥� those that "jump" from the minor stock exchanges to major ones. Not every potential jumper is a buy, so you need a system to identify the best opportunities before they jump. I've created that system, and today I want to show you it in action.

It鈥檚 rare for me to say that more regulations are a good thing. But they are when it comes to the big opportunity in Jumper Stocks. They have to do with the stringent requirements to list on the NASDAQ and NYSE. They鈥檙e a big reason why all these companies want to get onto the major exchanges 鈥� to show that they can measure up. When a stock uplists to a major exchange, investors of all sizes have more confidence, because they know the stocks have met certain criteria.

Every marijuana company out there wants to be the next Canopy Growth (CGC) or Aurora Cannabis (ACB). Today, they鈥檙e some of the biggest names in the business. But not so long ago, these stocks were virtually unknown outside the industry. They鈥檇 been available for years 鈥� on the Toronto Stock Exchange, as well as the U.S. over-the-counter (OTC) markets. Yet, even if the average investor had heard of them mentioned in passing, they had no real knowledge of the stocks. And more importantly, they did not own shares. Then they made the 鈥渏ump鈥� to the NYSE, and the rest is history. There are a few specific reasons that Jumper Stocks are such a phenomenon. Let鈥檚 take a look at those now.

Yesterday I told you about one of the biggest investment opportunities I鈥檝e come across in my nearly 20 years in this business. As marijuana legalization spreads, many companies will 鈥渏ump鈥� from small stock exchanges to the major stock exchanges. I equated it to going from the minor leagues to the major leagues. When you play with the big boys, you get to fly on chartered airplanes and stay in the best hotels. Your stock also rockets higher. In fact, I used that same analogy in a recent webinar. Remember those bottle rockets we played with as kids? A little gunpowder and a fuse鈥� and whoosh. Those little firecrackers would shoot dozens of feet into the air. In the financial markets, these little rockets go off all the time.
