Friday’s Stocks to Watch: Microsoft, Sunpower

  • Sunpower (NASDAQ:) shot more than 36% higher to $21.93 after news that Total (NYSE:) will buy a 60% stake in the company for $23.25 a share.
  • Coinstar (NASDAQ:) shares jumped 10.5% after the company beat analysts’ first-quarter earnings expectations, said second-quarter profit would beat current estimates, and announced it would begin selling video games across the country this summer.
  • Netgear (NASDAQ:) rose more than 21% after the company beat Wall Street’s first-quarter earnings and revenue expectations.
  • Motorola Mobility (NYSE:) shares climbed 7.5% after beating analysts’ earnings expectations late Thursday.
